Miss Eva loves bringing her urban dance background as a club kid in NYC to the students of West Side Dance here in Jackson NJ. She was a member of 2 dance crews and performed in local NYC clubs as the opening act to up and coming artists which led to her being hired as Sheile E’s back up dancer in the 1985 movie Krush Groove.

Because the world of urban dance is continually changing, over the past 10 years Miss Eva has continued her Hip Hop education, by attending dance conventions, master classes and workshops to combine street style Hip Hop with commercial style Hip Hop, Miss Eva loves to teach her students well rounded dance skills.

Additionally, Miss Eva learned Salsa and Hustle when she was 11 years old. She continued growing and learning as a Hustle dancer through out her teen years winning local dance contests. Prior to opening West Side Dance, when Miss Eva wasn't teaching kids Hip Hop in her basement, she was training at Shall We Dance Studios to be a Latin and Ballroom instructor. After teaching there for a few years and opening her own studio, Miss Eva continues to choreograph many bride & groom first dances as well as father / daughter sweet 16 and wedding dances. Miss Eva finds it important that anyone interested in dance can come to West Side Dance and feel right at home even if they have never danced before!
